Managing water: from grey to clean

Ministry of Drinking water & Sanitation, Government of India – MDWS and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), have partnered with Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) to conduct a series of workshops on water. MDWS is addressing water problems at the national level, under the leadership of Shri Parameshwaran Iyer, Secretary, and Mrs V Radha IAS, Joint Secretariat. Mr Nicolas Osbert, Head of the WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) programme for UNICEF India, is working with the government at the central and state levels, with NGOs and with private sectors developing strategies and emergency responses.

This workshop is conducted at IIT Madras. Innovations and technology translation for social and economic transformation is the second pillar of activity at IITM. Every space in water technologies is addressed by researchers at IITM. ICCW participated in the event, actively managing and also delivering talks.
